I like to cook, knowing how to cook is one of the most important things you could ever learn. We have to learn in order to thrive in a world such as ours, the kitchen is not just an area for preparing food, but one of the many places for learning and self-discovery.
My goal when I cook is to make at least one person happy, then I know I’m doing something right. I attend a senior boys’ school located in the beautiful Midlands during the school term and stay with my mom Khanyisa in Johannesburg.

During the lockdown last year, I set out to finish writing my very own cookbook. I wanted to inspire and share my food with other kids my age. As you can see, cooking is truly important in my family. My dearest mother is also a cookbook author and as they say sometimes kids do what they see their parents doing.
Writing a book was not only about the food but proof that I could achieve what I set out to do and grow as a person. When I’m back home, my friends and I will catch a movie and possibly grab a burger and some ice cream. When I’m at home I don’t have a set routine, my mom and I prepare meals together or sometimes I eat on the go.
Follow me for more culinary stories and recipes, mostly I’m excited about my book launch.
